Yb CaF2 Crystal

The Yb:CaF2 crystal, also known as Ytterbium-doped calcium fluoride, is a unique laser-active material that is grown using the Czochralski technique. This material is particularly useful in generating high-power, ultra-short pulses. Among the family of ytterbium-doped laser crystals, Yb:CaF2 stands out due to its exceptionally long fluorescence lifetime of approximately 2.2 milliseconds.

Yb KYW Crystal

Yb:KYW crystal (Yb-doped potassium yttrium tungstate) compared to its counterpart Yb:KGW, is a remarkable material that plays an important role in laser technology. Its primary function is to generate ultrashort pulses of light, spanning just a few hundred femtoseconds. By substituting yttrium with ytterbium in the crystal lattice of Yb:KYW due to the similar sizes of these chemical elements up to 100% of Yb-doping could be achieved.

Yb YAG Crystal

Yb:YAG crystal, also known as Ytterbium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet is used in production of short and ultrashort pulse lasers. Wide absorption bandwidth centered at 940 nm makes it well suited to be pumped with laser diodes. High thermal conductivity of Yb:YAG crystal makes it a perfect gain material for high power lasers.

Co Spinel Crystal

Co:Spinel crystal (cobalt spinel) is an exceptional optical element for Q-switching. It serves as a saturable absorber for passive Q-switching in solid-state lasers operating within the eye-safe wavelength range of around 1.54 µm. Co:Spinel crystals available from stock.

Cr YAG Crystal

The Cr:YAG crystal, or Chromium-doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet crystal, is a popular choice for passive Q-switching in lasers due to its cost-effectiveness. This crystal is known for its durability, high damage threshold, and excellent thermal properties, which contribute to its effectiveness in Q-switching applications. It’s commonly used in various types of lasers including Nd:YAG, Nd:YLF, and Nd:YVO4 lasers. Cr:YAG crystals available from stock.

Mirrors

Mirrors, with their diverse applications ranging from resonators to beam delivery paths, play a crucial role in various tasks. Tasks demanding an extremely high reflection rate of up to 99.99% would necessitate the use of sputtering coatings. Conversely, for tasks where a reflection rate of 99.5% suffices, a more cost-effective alternative would be to employ mirrors coated through evaporation. Various mirrors available from stock.

Ho YAG Crystal

Ho:YAG crystal, also known as Holmium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet is a reliable material for direct Ho³⁺ excitation, operating in the 2.1 µm spectral range. It’s used in various applications, including atmospheric remote sensing and high harmonic generation. The low quantum defect of Ho:YAG, combined with the excellent thermo-mechanical properties of YAG, results in a small heat load and potential for scaling to high output power. Ho:YAG crystals available from stock.
