Yb KGW Crystal

Yb:KGW crystal (Yb-doped potassium gadolinium tungastate) is a widely used laser active material to generate ultra-short pulses in range of few hundred femtoseconds. Large absorption cross section at around 981 nm makes the crystal well suited for diode pumping. Efficient absorption and low quantum defect let’s to build compact lasers for high power applications.

Yb CALGO Crystal

Yb:CALGO crystal is a novel laser active material used to generate high energy ultrashort pulses with less than one hundred femtoseconds (< 100 fs). From ytterbium doped laser crystals family Yb:CALGO crystal is used to generate the shortest pulses.

Yb CaF2 Crystal

The Yb:CaF2 crystal, also known as Ytterbium-doped calcium fluoride, is a unique laser-active material that is grown using the Czochralski technique. This material is particularly useful in generating high-power, ultra-short pulses. Among the family of ytterbium-doped laser crystals, Yb:CaF2 stands out due to its exceptionally long fluorescence lifetime of approximately 2.2 milliseconds.

Yb KYW Crystal

Yb:KYW crystal (Yb-doped potassium yttrium tungstate) compared to its counterpart Yb:KGW, is a remarkable material that plays an important role in laser technology. Its primary function is to generate ultrashort pulses of light, spanning just a few hundred femtoseconds. By substituting yttrium with ytterbium in the crystal lattice of Yb:KYW due to the similar sizes of these chemical elements up to 100% of Yb-doping could be achieved.
