Omega’s economy linear variable filters exhibit a reproducible polynomial relation between the wavelength and position on the filter. This series provides a low-cost, high volume solution with longpass, shortpass and bandpass designs. Omega’s sputter-coated oxide linear variable filters, produced using plasma-assisted reactive magnetron sputtering, feature full blocking of the out-of-band spectral range and exhibit a linear relationship between position and wavelength. Custom bandpass, longpass and shortpass filters can be developed to meet your specifications. Custom solutions sized for mounting directly in front of a detector are also available.
