DiaLink optical fiber connectors for rotating fiber links The inertia of a few optical fiber connectors is evaluated to identify the configuration that is more suitable for applications that require rotating optical connections. The new DiaLink products represent the most promising option thanks to their compactness and light weight properties. The cylindrical symmetry and minimal footprint allows for a reduction of the inertia by a factor 15-20 compared to traditional E-2000TM and SC connectors.
