This tiny battery-powered stage is ideal for motion in hand-held and portable instruments. The piezo-driven stage has 0.5 µm resolution for precise, repeatable positioning of optics, probes, sensors and more. Absolute encoding removes the need to home the stage on power-up. The M3-LS has uniform and very low friction, even under high direct loads and side loads, with none of the “cage creep” and friction spike problems common in other micro stages. The controller is INSIDE the stage and takes commands from the system processor over standard serial interface – no external controller needed. Easily create XY and XYZ configurations.
