Linear Variable Bandpass Filters for Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI)

Delta Optical Thin Film A/S

HSI has been used in satellite imaging, air reconnaissance and other not overly price sensitive markets. Classical HSI cameras use prisms or grating as dispersive elements. These cameras are bulky, sensitive to misalignment and expensive. Alternative approaches make HSI attractive for volume markets, for example cancer detection, precision farming, and many more. Delta develops and manufactures Linear Variable Bandpass Filters for mid-size and full-frame sensors. These filters offer high transmission and are fully blocked in the sensitive wavelength range of silicon-based detectors. The combination of LVBPFs with silicon detectors allows the design of very compact, robust and affordable HSI detectors.
