Molex’s fiber optic adapters are designed to address mechanical-design requirements on front panels or enclosures and are available in FC, ST, SC, LC, MPO and hybrid interfaces. The adapters are constructed of either engineering grade polymers, die-cast housings or as a half die-cast, half polymer housing. EMI shielding adapters have an EMI gasket that seals the adapter to the panel. EMI adapters increase the shielding effectiveness and robustness while enhancing the front panel aesthetics compared to traditional plastic adapters.
