Fantom’s CVC® process produces several high performance, high purity materials including our CVC SiC®. The primary applications for our CVC SiC have been in: ultrahigh performance reflective optics, telescopes, and optical systems; semiconductor processing; and a variety of wear related applications involving extreme temperatures and/or environments. These applications take advantage of our material’s unique performance property set that combines high purity, high temperature & chemical resistance, high stiffness, low absolute density, high strength, and ultra polishable surfaces without need for cladding.

Fantom Materials, Inc. is a custom manufacturer specializing in extremely hard, high-precision components made from Chemical Vapor Composite Silicon Carbide (CVC SiC®) and Chemical Vapor Deposition Silicon Carbide (CVD SiC®) processes. We produce materials for various areas including, but not limited to, semiconductor and semiconductor related markets, advanced optical telescopes and mirrors, various wear related applications, nuclear related and high temperature applications, space survivability and other assorted applications.
Our HoneySiC® is a family of ceramic-ceramic composite materials for lightweight, low cost, stiff materials with ultra-low thermal expansion for many advanced optical and structural applications requiring these properties.
